JOB TITLE:

Marketing Manager


We are looking for a highly motivated individual to play an integral role within our US sales and operations teams as well as supporting our global marketing team, responsible for delivering our marketing strategy. Working closely with our President as well as the Global Marketing team in the UK, this role will work at a variety of levels, from ensuring the setting and adapting of global marketing strategy to suit local markets to organising photography shoots and local events to coordination of local print and production. Fundamentally, you’ll be assisting the team to boost our visual and written storytelling, allowing us to build brand awareness and trust through film, photography, graphic design and the written word. This is a very diverse and interesting role which will require a great deal of flexibility, organisation and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team. We aim to be a fully integrated marketing operation.

Senior Sales Consultant - Connecticut & Long Island


Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales targets by maximizing leads through effective phone, email, video conference, and in-person sales consultations.
  • Proactively manage potential leads by utilizing ZenDesk CRM system. Maintain a strategic weekly schedule that maximizes opportunities for Mobile Showroom customer visits within assigned territory.
  • Maintain sales database including updates of customer details, payments and invoicing.
  • Ensure exceptional service before, during, and after mobile showroom visits to customers’ homes. Provide product, design and space planning advice to customers that drives sales of Maker&Son furniture.
  • Be an Ambassador of the Maker&Son brand through friendly, thorough, and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Set and execute specific plans to build relationships within the Interior Design community that drive sales and brand loyalty.
  • Work closely with Western Sales Manager and US Marketing Manager to identify opportunities to expand brand awareness through local marketing efforts, events and partnerships.
  • Uphold Maker&Son company values. Build and maintain healthy and productive relationships with fellow Maker&Son business partners.


Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales with proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual sales targets.
  • Ability to assess customer needs, provide design guidance and overcome concerns that will lead to customer satisfaction, long-term brand loyalty, and sales growth.
  • A passion for, and experience with interior design, furniture and home goods, preferably with an established book of contacts.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for growing sales and brand awareness within assigned territory.
  • Ability to effectively organize, manage and delegate job tasks. Prior experience leading direct report(s).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to manage the needs of multiple customers simultaneously and professionally. Prompt and thorough follow up maintained consistently. Excellent listening skills.
  • Self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively. Ability to create strategic plans for accomplishing tasks, while remaining agile and flexible.
  • Previous experience working with Google, ZenDesk, Xero, Tawk or similar CRM tools is an asset.
  • Clean driving record is required. Experience driving a mid-sized van is helpful, but not required.
